I am a 67 year old artist living in Prague, Czech Republic. For me, Cubism is a wonderful way to express the complexity and depth of our world in a simplified manner. Cubism is a unique format where square shapes are molded together, and often softened with curves.

I love the work of Picasso, Filla, Braque, Feininger, Dellunay, and all of the well known Cubist painters. My work consists of both abstract and realistic forms with the majority being more realistic, as this is my personal preference. |
|
Some artists say that painting brings them great pleasure and release. For me, painting is extremely hard work. When I am working on a painting, I feel like I am climbing a mountain with a heavy pack on my back, never certain if I can manage the next few steps.
When I reach the peak and complete the picture, I am exhausted and depleted.
But happy.
